OVERVIEW

The NeuroX Network, an emerging company empowering employment and career opportunities for the neurodivergent community, approached us to define their brand and art direction for their upcoming conference on AI and Neurodiversity in the Workforce. The challenge was to develop an identity that both embraces diversity and sparks a conversation around often-overlooked talents. We based the logo concept around "carving your own path"—a nod to the trailblazing spirit of those who think differently.

A vibrant color palette was selected to create an illuminating effect, aligning with the narrative of raising awareness and bringing this mission to light. Careful attention was given to ensure the representation of neurodiverse individuals was authentic, reflecting the full spectrum of intersectionality.

The conference itself embodies NeuroX’s mission by offering an inclusive environment, complete with a designated quiet room, educational materials supporting cognitive differences, and "social battery" cards to help attendees communicate their preferred level of social interaction.

As a brand-new organization, the NeuroX Network needed a complete brand and conference experience to bring their mission to life: empowering neurodivergent individuals in employment and career growth. With no existing visual identity or framework, our challenge was to design an experience that celebrated diversity, showcased hidden talents, and created a welcoming, inclusive space for all attendees.

The solution

7Magnolia created a complete brand and conference experience centered on inclusivity and empowerment. The identity, based on the concept of “carving your own path,” celebrates trailblazing thinking, while the conference environment was designed to support neurodiverse needs and encourage meaningful engagement.

A Brand Rooted in Community

The NeuroX Network logo and visual identity are inspired by the idea of forging one’s own path, reflecting the creativity, innovation, and resilience of neurodivergent communities. A vibrant, energetic color palette was chosen to convey optimism, creativity, and possibility, while imagery featuring authentic, diverse individuals highlights unique talents and fosters a sense of belonging. Together, these elements illuminate the brand’s mission and create a welcoming visual identity that celebrates the strengths and contributions of the neurodivergent community.

Designing a Neuro-Inclusive Experience

The conference experience was designed to embody NeuroX’s commitment to accessibility and inclusion, offering thoughtful accommodations that allow all attendees to engage comfortably.

Social Battery Badges

Social battery badges allow participants to communicate their preferred level of social interaction in a clear, nonverbal way. This system helps attendees manage energy, reduce stress, and participate at their own pace.

Sensory Retreat Room

A designated quiet space provides a sensory retreat for attendees who may need breaks from stimulation. Equipped with calming materials and supportive resources, the room ensures that every participant can recharge and engage meaningfully with the conference.
